I have to admit, as crafty and creative as I try to be, something I will never be able to do is draw and paint like an artist. A stick figure family is about as artistic as my hand drawing skills get. I’m pretty much in awe of people who can actually draw and paint.
But the fact of the matter is, I just love to fill my home with handmade art and decor, because not only does it save a lot of money, but it also adds a unique touch to the home that you can’t find anywhere else. So what’s a wannabe artist to do? Luckily, I’ve discovered that you don’t need to actually be “artistic” to make gorgeous DIY canvas artwork for your own home…. you just have to get a little creative. And that is something everybody is capable of!

These super genius canvas art projects don’t require any special artistic ability, but the results certainly speak for themselves. I mean some of these look like paintings you’d find in an art gallery or spend tons of money to buy! The best part is, all of these projects are totally doable by anyone of any artistic ability or level. So get your paint and canvas ready, because chances are good that you’re going to come out of here with at least one or two new canvas art projects to add to your DIY list!
When it comes to buying canvases for projects, I highly recommend purchasing a value pack like this. You can typically get quite a few canvases for much less money than it would cost to buy them individually. Plus then you have more for projects and other crafts. Win win!

Celeste these are all so cool! Some of them are super easy to do and they make quite an impact. I really like the ombre canvas paintings. But my favorite would have to be….the third one from Love Create Celebrate, because I love black and white. But I am also loving that swirly one that looks like it came out of a psychedelic movie. I am full of contradictions. I know which ones you like the best, anything with blue and seashore. 😉
So true, Mary! That’s probably why there are so many blue/seashore options here, haha! They’re all so beautiful, it’s hard to pick just one favorite!
I love these! My favorite is the Texas pride being as I’m a Texas girl. I love also love yours about the pearls. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Melanie! I love that Texas one, too!
